Tours

At Dean Close we believe that challenging scholars by taking them away for periods of time on various tours not only offers the opportunity to develop sporting talent but also helps develop maturity, cultural understanding and vital social skills.  Scholars will be given the chance to travel at various occasions during their time at Dean Close to a variety of tournaments along with part of extensive pre-season training for our major sports.  The department also runs regular European and major world wide tours.  Recent trips include hockey tours to Holland, netball toured Malta in 2007 and rugby toured Australia in 2003 and Italy in 2005.  The next major overseas tour will see two senior rugby teams travel to the Cook Islands and New Zealand for more than three weeks in the summer of 2008.
