    Dean Close is not a highly selective school yet this year we achieved results above the Independent School sector average and the national trend. We cater for each individual child on an academic level and encourage very able pupils to take exams early if they feel they can achieve very good results.

    At A Level

    • 99.6% pass rate
    • 73% of all grades were A*/B
    • 9% of all pupils scored at least one grade higher than their ALIS Prediction in all their subjects.
    • Our top pupils scored four A*s
    • 100% A*/B in Art & Design, French, German, Music and Latin
    • 91% A*/B in English Literature
    • 77% got into their first or second choice universities 
    • Five pupils achieved their Oxbridge offers

    At GCSE

    • 34% of all grades were A*
    • 91% of all grades were A*/C
    • 11 pupils scored 10 A*s or more
    • 3 pupils achieved 12 A*
