    Kindergarten, Nursery and Kittens (Part time) £50.94 per day; £30.81 per morning and £25.52 per afternoon.

    Fees are based on the sessions booked for the month and are invoiced monthly in arrears. Charges will be made for non attendance due to illness or other reasons of absence.

    Fees are payable termly in advance or monthly by Direct Debit (see monthly payment information sheet for further details).

    The School does not allow attendance at part sessions with the exception of children who attend only for their Early Year free entitlement hours; the number of these places are limited.

    Kindergarten, Nursery and kittens Timings

    The Kindergarten, Nursery and Kittens teaching day runs from 8.45am to 3.30pm with a crèche facility operating outside these hours. Children may attend from 8.15am to 5.00pm.

    Morning session hours are 8.15am to 12.45pm and include lunch and a mid-morning snack.

    Afternoon session hours are 12.45pm to 5.00pm, including an afternoon snack, but not lunch.

      Classes start at 8.45am.
    • Reception finishes at 3.25pm
    • Years 1 & 2 finish at 3.30pm

    3. Optional Extras

    Please note that a full term's notice is required in writing to discontinue any optional extra.

    a) Music: Charges per term

    • £200 for second & subsequent instrument
    • £147 for shared lesson
    • £40 for use of a school instrument

    b) Incidentals:

    • Visits to plays, concerts, etc outside the curriculum

    c) Co-curricular activities

    • £ 39 for Speech and Drama per term (group lesson)
    • £ 97 for Ballet, Modern or Tap Dance per term (shared lesson)
    • £140 for Ballet, Modern or Tap Dance (any combination of two) per term (shared lesson)
    • £179 for Ballet, Modern & Tap Dance (all three) per term (shared lesson)
    • £ 83 per term for Gymnastics (group lesson)
    • £ 79 per term for Tennis (group lesson)
    • £ 44 for Learning Support per hour
    • £ 66 for Learning Support Assessment


    The following pupil insurances are available on an opt in basis:

    • The School Fees Refund Scheme (loss of fees through sickness) at 1.05% of fees
    • The School’s group membership of BUPA, at £82.00 per term
    • Personal Effects Insurance Scheme at £8.57 per term

    Please note that personal possessions are not covered by the School insurance. Parents should check whether their own insurance covers such items whilst at School and if appropriate consider taking advantage of the Pupils’ Personal Effects Insurance Scheme.The School cannot accept liability for the loss of, or damage to, pupils' personal property or property on loan to them.

    From September 2016 the School has arranged for all pupils from Reception Year upwards to be covered by the Pupil’s Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (incorporating Dental injury) at no additional charge.

    5. Payment

    a) All fees and monies due from parents and guardians of pupils are required on or before the first day of the relevant term. Payments by cheque should be forwarded to The Bursary, Dean Close School, Shelburne Road, Cheltenham, Glos GL51 6HE. If payment is late without just cause an administrative charge of £50 will be made, in addition to a late payment charge of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

    b) A charge of £50 will be made for each re-presented cheque or payment.

    c) The Trustees reserve the right to request the withdrawal of a pupil if bills are not paid on time.

    6. Leaving

    a) Parents must give notice in writing before the start of the preceding term of their intention to remove a pupil from the School. If such notice is not given, a full term's notice in lieu of notice, without the benefit of any concessions, will be payable. This notice should be received by the Bursar on or before the first day of term. This also applies to pupils of DCPPS who are presumed to be going up to DCPS, unless notice is received. Parents are advised to seek early advice from the Bursar when considering removing pupils from School.

    b) The Trustees will endeavour to give at least one term's notice of a rise in fees; however, they reserve the right to impose a surcharge at any time in the event of a sudden and unpredictable rise in school running costs.
